Glassball is an artist-led arts organisation which delivers workshops, commissions, installations and projects in digital based media.
We advocate arts practice within the Midlands and beyond, to enable participants to explore their creativity and learn new skills in the process. With a mobile digital art and film resource, we aim to improve participant’s skills, raise confidence and increase self-esteem by providing a safe and productive space in which to explore their creativity.
Glassball has gained considerable experience of working with a variety of communities and partners nationally, and has provided the opportunity to make several short films, books, DVD’s, designed publications and unique temporary and permanent art works. We have continued to blend the practices of professional artists with the needs of various communities and groups, as well as developing new art activities from the ground up with fundraising and project management.
Using our skills we can provide creative consultation work for organisations using photography, video, and digital arts to gather valuable information. Glassball aim to develop creative approaches to reaching new audiences. Training can be supplied in working creatively with digital video, desktop publishing, image manipulation software packages, DVD authoring, as well as silver based and digital photography.
Glassball continues to develop challenging projects delivered by professional artists, to individuals, schools, community groups, and especially to those who would not normally take part or are excluded from taking part in creative arts activities.
